Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Serving size: quarter head of cabbage

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Slice cabbage into ½ inch thick rounds.
  3. Brush each side with olive oil.
  4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment or foil.
  5. Season with garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cabbage is tender and easily pierced with a fork. 
  7. If additional browning is desired, you can broil for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Optional: Drizzle with butter and/or add grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
